From the grower, Diane -

The rose distills a healing balm

The beating pulse of pain to calm.”

 -- Thomas Moore

It would seem we all need a little nurturing these days. With all that’s going on in our world, we could use a good dose of inspiration! One of the most inspiring plants in the garden is the rose. Modern roses bloom for months on end, and there are many low maintenance options now available.

If you have an area with at least six hours of sunlight a day, you can be successful with roses. If you desire a very easy to grow variety, try the Easy-to-Love Roses from Weeks. Livin’ Easy, Easy Going, Hot Cocoa, and Julia Child will give you lush, bushy, and attractive disease free foliage all season long. And these floribundas are non-stop bloomers. Just water and fertilizer is all that’s required.

Here at Rainbow Garden Nursery, we will be bringing in this year’s rose crop on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. We have purchased some beautiful varieties from Jackson & Perkins and Weeks Roses. We will be featuring over 100 different roses this year, including 37 varieties of hybrid tea roses, and 27 floribundas! Come visit us for our rose kickoff and get inspired.
